A very scarce limited edition of a humorous fifteenth century short story about a drunkard, published by the private 'Odd Volume Club', and printed on delicate Japanese paper. A limited edition, being number 158 out of two hundred copies. In the original paper vellum covers, and set and printed by hand in Van Krimpen Romanee on Japanese paper. This very scarce pocket sized volume features a short story published by the private bibliophile society 'The Club of the Odd Volumes&apos. The story comes from a fifteenth century manuscript from the library of Philip the Good. The manuscript, titled 'Cent Nouvelles Nouvelles' contained a series of humorous stories, often including adult content, which were told by members of his caught to amuse him, with copies kept in Philips' library. This story was told by Jean de Lannoy, a nobleman, and tells the story of a drunkard. In the publisher's original paper vellum covers. Externally very smart with slight handling marks. A mark to the front endpapers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
